It is even willing to show vindictive, egotistical, and sometimes downright mean people as having reasons, if not excuses, for their actions. I don't think anyone is necessarily going to have a "come to Jesus" moment and become perfect. Rather I think we have to just accept and love the characters as they are and hope for the best.
